When I proposed, I wanted to make it
something extra-special, something unique and perfect for us, that
Andrea would remember for the rest of her life. I thought of many
different ways to do it but decided on one that would take place over 12
days and completely take her by surprise.
I gave Andrea one red rose every day for
12 days. They were special roses like the ones you see above, each made
of velvet. In 11 of the roses, I hid special notes about our
relationship and how much I cared for her. On the 11th day (not the 12th,
I wanted to REALLY surprise her) I told her I made a cool video on the
computer and I wanted her to see it and tell me what she thought of it.
I played the video above and when it came
to the point where I asked for her hand in marriage, she turned to look
at me. I was kneeling on the floor next to her with one of the
roses. Instead of a note, though, it contained her
Great-Grandmother's platinum and diamond ring. As you may have
figured out, she said yes. |
